Bio

Raj Alur is a technology executive with venture capital, corporate strategy, M&A and product development expertise. Raj currently serves on the advisory board and is an executive consultant to MagLev Aero (eVTOL startup) and PHYTunes (Wireless Semiconductor).

During his tenure as TiE Boston President, Raj led a powerful Venture Capital and Business Delegation trip to India, met with policy makers in New Delhi, visited Infosys, Wipro, Aurobindo Pharma and attended NASSCOM. Raj presided over TiE-Con East in June, 2007 that featured speakers including Google’s Board Member and early investor, Ram Shriram, Dana Farber’s Dr. Edward Benz, Inventor Dean Kamen, IBM VC’s Claudia Fan Munce and many more. During that time TiE-Boston added 4 new Special Interest Groups (SIGs). With the guidance of TiE Board member, Venkat Srinivasan, Raj balanced the annual budget and streamlined its financial operations.

Raj holds an MBA in finance, MS in Computer Science and a BS/MS in Physics & CS from Cornell University, Boston University and St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai respectively.
