Nilanjana Bhowmik

Nilanjana has been a TiE Charter Member since 2001, served on the board of TiE-Boston from 2010 to 2014, and as President of TiE-Boston from 2018 to 2020. During her Presidency, she launched the TiE-Boston Foundation & Endowment, seeded by contributions from leading TiE-Boston Charter Members. The Foundation carries out TiE-Boston’s core mission of giving back to the community by running accessible entrepreneurial educational programs for New England residents.
Nilanjana supports several educational and philanthropic institutions in New England, including serving as a Trustee of the Museum of Science Boston, where she serves on the Investment Committee and the Finance Committee.
Nilanjana is a co-founder and General Partner at Converge, an early stage venture capital firm based in Cambridge, MA. Earlier in her career, she was a General Partner at Longworth Venture Partners, a Vice President, M&A, at Broadview (now Jefferies) and an operating executive at Object Design Inc., a publicly traded software company headquartered in Burlington, MA.
Nilanjana received her B.Eng. in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, her M.S. in Computer Science from University of South Carolina, and her MBA from INSEAD.
